Georges SARRAIRE (20th century). "Sunflowers". Oil on canvas signed lower right "xMGxSARRAIRE" and dated 1965/1971 (Size: 92 x 73 cm).
- Enclosed is a folder containing sketches and a letter from the artist to Thérèse and Claude.
Provenance: Collection of the late Mr Claude LAPP, headmaster of the Charly secondary school, headmaster of the Lycée Julie Daubié in Laon and then of the Lycée Gérard de Nerval in Soissons. Commander of the Palmes Académiques, he was awarded the Ordre National du Mérite in 2008.
Well-known to the people of Soissons, he was an active member of the V.O. en Soissonnais festival and the A.P.E.I.
Georges Sarraire was an art teacher.
