WATCH, circa 1850, in silver, said to be "for the Chinese market". most probably made by BOVET and shipped to Canton (China), central second hand, anchor escapement movement protected by a pierced inner glass for winding and setting the time, revealing the entire richly decorated mechanism, all in an extremely plain English silver case, domed glass, with winding key (later).
