Description
Edward Algernon S. DOUGLAS (c.1850-c.1920) Morning going to cover; Evening returning to the Kennels. Two aquatints signed and dated "1877" in the plate, engraved by Edward Gilbert HESTER (c.1843-1903) and published by Arthur ACKERMANN, 191, Regent Street, London. D. of plate: 64 x 50 cm. Sheet size: 70 x 55.5 cm (when viewed). Some foxing and spotting, not examined outside the frame. In a varnished oak baguette frame for each aquatint. Mention on the back of the frame "Engraving part of a pair from the estate of Colonel PARENT du CHÂTELET (Marie Joseph Paul Eugène) (1864-1948) (framed in Compiègne in 1895).
