Decorated with 81 SPLENDID Sketches, enhanced drawings and pochades by Paul-Elie Dubois, wood-engraved in colour by Pierre Bouchet, including the cover and 4 full-page illustrations. Work on the book began in May 1938, continued during the Occupation and was completed when the Allies landed in June 1944. ISSUE OF ONLY 130 COPIES, this one n°2 on Rives for Mr René Lavallette-Simon. Fine condition.
