LABOSME (A). LIBER MONODIARUM. Insequntur aliquorumdam Monodiae atque cantus ecclesiastici. Selecta collectio. In-4° oblong of 40 manuscript pages of music, lavaliere morocco, large romantic cold plate surrounded by floral motifs, ornate spine, gilt edges (19th century binding). Manuscript collection composed entirely of notated, monophonic music, a selection of church songs. It was written by Alexandre Labosme (1813-1888), better known for his mathematical work than for his restoration of early music. He applied his mathematical rigour to musical structure. A very good copy in a fine romantic binding.
