ILLUSTRATED FIRST EDITION of Vlaminck's most important book, which took him ten years to complete. It is decorated with 48 REMARKABLE ORIGINAL LITHOGRAPHIES IN COLOUR by the author, including a frontispiece and 40 coloured lettrines drawn by Paul Bonet. Edition of 260 numbered copies on Arches vellum.
Copy enriched with 3 printed letters from the secretariat of the Cercle Lyonnais du Livre. Two small spots of soiling on the cover, minor damage to the slipcase (Monod II, 11348).
