Full green morocco, mosaic landscape decoration on the first cover, spine ribbed, author, illustrator, and date gilt on the spine, moiré cloth endpapers, framed in green morocco with havana morocco listel and gilt fillet, double endpapers, gilt edges on witnesses, covers and spine preserved, in bordered slipcase. [BLANCHETIÈRE]. Illustrated with 77 original etchings, 24 of which are full-page, by the painter and engraver André Dauchez, Edition of 183 copies, one of 142 on vellum. With an original graphite drawing with dispatch, the original draft of the title page with watercolour enhanced pencil vignette dated 1927. Spine slightly faded.
