IRAN Manuscript Set of letters and documents in German in a leather binding with an oriental stamp relating the first journey of the Shah of Iran outside Persia for the Universal Exhibition. 24 x 15.5 cm. The leather binding of this set of manuscript leaves and a photographic portrait of the Shah bears a Persian stamp with the date 1273 AH 1856 AD, which is difficult to read in gilt letters in nasta'liq, giving the title of "muallam" professor. One of the letters in this notebook is dated 1873. Lot presented by Mr Alexis RENARD.
