Description
TAP 47 camouflage jump jacket. Jacket made from early camouflage fabric, chest pockets with two press stud fastenings still bearing remnants of factory brown paint. Functional Prophete brand zips, all buttons present and sewn in original. Original sewn beavertail with six press studs that still have much of their original paint. Groslambert manufacturer's stamp and Army receipt stamp dated 1951. Inside flap pocket in camouflage fabric. Note two straps sewn onto the right breast pocket flap to hold a parachutist's licence. Length 74cm, Armpits 62cm, Shoulders 51cm, Sleeves 55cm. Like new. Camouflaged TAP jump jacket model 47. Constructed from early-pattern camouflage fabric. Breast pockets secured by two snap fasteners still retaining traces of original brown factory paint. Functional Prophete zippers. All buttons remain present and factory-sewn. Original stitched beaver tail retaining its six snap fasteners with much of the original paint intact. Marked by manufacturer Groslambert together with an Army acceptance stamp dated 1951. Internal flap pocket made from matching camouflage fabric. Two fabric loops sewn onto the flap of the right breast pocket intended for supporting a parachutist qualification badge. Length 74 cm, pit-to-pit width 62 cm, shoulders 51 cm, sleeves 55 cm. Unissued condition.
