CITES 2026 Lots containing material from protected or regulated species or materials (including ivory, tortoise shell, crocodile, alligator, coral, exotic skins or woods) may be subject to export, import, transport or customs restrictions under CITES or other applicable regulations. It is the buyer's responsibility to check the requirements in their country before bidding. Piguet Hôtel des Ventes will not be able to assist buyers in obtaining any required permits or documents, nor will it be able to arrange for the international shipment of such lots. For certain lots containing regulated components (in particular crocodile/alligator bracelets or ivory components, or other removable components subject to restrictions), pre-shipment withdrawal may be offered at the buyer's request. This withdrawal is final and irreversible, and the buyer waives any right of ownership, restitution or claim on the withdrawn item. Should the buyer find it impossible to obtain the necessary authorisations or to legally export, import or transport a lot, this difficulty may not be invoked to justify either the cancellation of the sale or a delay in payment. Cartier - American Tank Cartier holds a major place in the history of watchmaking thanks to watches that have become veritable icons of style. With models such as the Santos, the Panthère, the Baignoire and the Tank, the company has established a vision in which the watch becomes as much a jewel as an aesthetic signature. Created in 1917, the Tank was inspired by the Renault tanks of the First World War, with its two parallel stretchers evoking the tracks seen from above. Launched in 1989, the Tank Américaine reinterprets this legendary model in a longer, slightly curved version. CITES Lots containing materials derived from protected or regulated species or materials (including ivory, tortoiseshell, crocodile, alligator, coral, exotic skins or exotic woods) may be subject to export, import, customs or shipping restrictions under CITES and other applicable regulations. Buyers are responsible for verifying all applicable requirements in their country prior to bidding. Piguet Auction House will not assist with permits, CITES documentation or international shipment of such lots. For certain lots containing regulated elements (including crocodile or alligator straps, ivory components, or other removable restricted materials), removal prior to dispatch may be offered at the buyer's request. Such removal is final and irreversible, the buyer waives any right of ownership, recovery or claim in respect of the removed element. Failure to obtain the necessary authorisations, or any inability to export, import or lawfully transport a lot, shall not justify cancellation of the sale or delay in payment.
