German imperial military hospital in Liège during World War I. 23 silver prints, 17 x 23 cm, mounted on cardboard with a gold frame, photographer's name and address on the mounts, German ms. captions on paper. - Album entitled "Kaiserliches Festungslazarett zu Lüttich. Chefarzt: Oberstabsarzt San. Rat. Dr. Nockner". Saint-Laurent Hospital was under German control during the Battle of Liège in August 1914. Sites: administrative buildings, pharmacy and nurses' quarters, garden, eye clinic, inside rooms for injured soldiers, surgery and x-ray rooms, barracks and shacks, kitchen, view of Liège from the hospital, visit of Her Royal Highness Princess Victoria Louise von Brannschweig, medical staff, doctors, chemists, dentists, nurses, games for the patients (bowling), pigsty.
