Zizi Jeanmaire. 13 graphite and charcoal drawings on paper, 4 small (c. 32 x 23 cm) and 9 large (c. 50 x 32 cm), signed, sometimes titled and dated - Lucienne Pageot-Rousseaux (1899-1994) was known for her ballet and dance subjects. Sketch of Renée Marcelle "Zizi" Jeanmaire (1924-2020), a French ballet dancer, actress and singer, whose silhouette is recognisable from "La croqueuse de diamants" and "Carmen". She was the wife of dancer and choreographer Roland Petit, who trained with Serge Lifar at the Paris Opéra.
