II: very slight spotting to false-title and title, rare foxing, faint wetness to 1 f., trace of horn on 2 ff.). - Unlisted edition of this famous erotic novel (orig.: 1786). Titles and typographical ornaments (headbands, endpapers, lettering) in red and black. Unlike the editions listed by Pia and Dutel with the same address and date (1 vol.: 220 pp.), ours is presented in 2 vols. with a fleuron on the title depicting the heads of a nymph and a faun kissing (attributed by Dutel to both Brancart and Gay & Doucé) and without the title supplement "Édition revue sur celle originale de 1786".
