(slight foxing to title and several ff.). - Uncommon clandestine edition (orig.: Brux., 1833), illustrated with 4 free plates in black on chine, re-engraved after those of the original by Devéria and Tassaert. Text printed on wove paper, preceded by an extract from "Mémoires de la comtesse de C**** [Céleste Mogador]". - Ref. Pia 560. - Cp. Perceau 16-11, Dutel A-468 (very close to ours but printed on laid paper with a copy of Rops' frontispiece among the 4 h.-t.). - Prov. Jean Jacobs (bookplate signed A. v.
