1929. In-4° (slight tears in the photographs). - Rare first edition illustrated by Man Ray with 4 pornographic photographs pasted on the upper edge outside the text. Edition of 215 numbered copies, one of 160 on Montval (n° 177). Published to finance a special issue of the Belgian magazine "Variétés" edited by P.G. Van Hecke and printed clandestinely in Belgium, the work, whose texts are as consciously scandalous as the photos depicting Kiki de Montparnasse with a lover, was seized by customs on its way to France. - Ref Pia 937. - Dutel 1986.
