Oeuvres [...]. 2 vols. in-12: [12]-468, [12]-516 pp. (small hole with slight burn under a part-title on f. [ã]3 of vol. II). - Third and only complete collective edition to appear during the author's lifetime, definitively establishing his work. It is augmented by 3 plays, "Esther" (1689), "Athalie" (1691) and the "Cantiques spirituels" (1694), which did not appear in the previous edition of the "Oeuvres", published at the same address in 1687. Racine also made spelling changes and deleted some lines from "La Thébaïde" and "Bajazet". The illustrations, engraved on copper but included in the pagination, include 1 front by Charles Le Brun (vol. I), 1 title engraved in a frame (vol.
