To the light. Ode. Decorated by Bellery-Desfontaines with compositions engraved by E. Florian. Gr. in-8° (rare concentrated spotting to the justif.). - Edition decorated with 4 figures, including 1 full-page, wood-engraved and printed in two tones. Edition of 116 copies plus 50 present, one of 98 on vellum (justif. given by Carteret; no. 24 for Dr A. Lorentz). Enriched with a beautiful L.A.S. from the publisher to Dr Lorentz, Paris, 3-04-1905, accompanying the dispatch of his copy and giving many details on the edition and the one he is preparing, "L'ami de l'ordre", and on the artist who illustrated it, Daniel Vierge. - Ref. Carteret IV:166. - Prov. Dr. A. Lorentz, member of the Société des amis du livre moderne (ex. nominative). - Joint, same author and format, in first edition: 1. Le tombeau de Molière. Ibid. 1908. Oberlin and 1 woodcut, facsimile of a letter from the author to King Albert of Belgium. Edition of 165 copies, this one not numbered on hollande. Enriched with an autograph quotation from France, dated August 1917 (3 vols.)
