Engr. 38,2 x 49 cm, hand-coloured (some sm. spots along central fold). - Fabled map of the legendary Christian kingdom of Prester John representing Eastern and Central Africa. Quite detailed on the Eastern coast, it also shows empty spaces of the unexplored interior. Nice decorative cartouche and some exotic animals like elephants and ostriches. - Ref.
