Description
The book of hours. Gr. in-8° (slight discharges of some engravings). - First edition of the illustration comprising 200 compositions in the text and 13 etchings protected by captions or not (8 h.-t., 3 full-page with inserted text, 1 on the cover and 1 cul-de-lampe). Edition of 160 copies on Arches laid paper watermarked with the artist's name (no. 15). Enriched with one of the 60 colour suites of etchings, which were only sold to subscribers, the large-format print on chine, - the plates on pp. 27, 55 and 185, - the reduced print and plate of the in-text on p. 70 and a silk print of the plates "Mère de douleur" and "Stabat Mater", placed on the back covers. - Carteret IV:237. - Prov.
