Manufacture de-Saint-Clément (Lorraine). Beautiful covered box, imitating a pile of handkerchiefs with a lace border tied with a ribbon and topped with a bouquet of violets. Polychrome enamelled earthenware, the lace in repiqué enamels, with trompe-l'œil painted decoration. Handwritten signature in brown "St Clément T". Last third of the 19th century. 12.5 x 12.5 x height approx. 9.5 cm. Minor chips - restorations. Provenance: Geneviève Aubry collection (1948-2025), Rosières-aux-Salines.
