Manufacture of Saint-Clément (Lorraine). Anthropomorphic candlestick in polychrome enamelled earthenware, decorated with a richly dressed smiling Chinaman. Handwritten signature in black "St Clément 3" under the base. Circa 1880. Height 22 cm. Minor chips.
Candlestick exhibited in 2012 at the Château de Lunéville as part of the exhibition "Faïences en lumières - les productions de Lunéville Saint-Clément". Reproduced in the catalogue p. 41.
