Description
Manufacture of Saint-Clément (Lorraine). A salt cellar in the shape of a duck (8.5 cm high) and a salt and pepper cellar in the shape of interlaced swans, in polychrome enamelled earthenware with floral decoration. Handwritten signature in black on the salt cellar "SCt". Circa 1870 (Gallé period) or 1880. Minor chips. Exhibited in 2013 at the Château de Lunéville as part of the "Les arts de la table - Petites pièces au service des grandes" exhibition. Reproduced in the catalogue on p. 14. Provenance: Geneviève Aubry collection (1948-2025), Rosières-aux-Salines.
