Emile GALLE (1846-1904) and the manufacture of Saint-Clément (Lorraine). Candlestick in the form of a crowned heraldic lion, seated and holding between its front paws the coat of arms of the city of Nancy. Handwritten signature in black "Gallé". Circa 1870. Height 20.5 cm. Minor restoration.
Candlestick exhibited in 2012 at the Château de Lunéville as part of the exhibition "Faïences en lumières - les productions de Lunéville Saint-Clément". Reproduced in the catalogue p. 41.
