Description
Geo CONDE (1891-1980) for the Lunéville factory (Lorraine), Keller et Guérin, Edouard Fenal period. Large Art Deco circular dish in polychrome enamelled earthenware with airbrushed decoration of an exotic bird amidst luxuriant vegetation. Gold border. Signature stamp in green. Circa 1920. Diameter 41 cm. Good condition.
Similar model exhibited at the Château de Lunéville in 1997 (n°13) for the exhibition "Geo Condé, l'artiste éveillé".
This model was exhibited at the Musée de Sarreguemines, from 21 October 2011 to 29 January 2012, as part of the exhibition "Art Déco - La céramique de Lorraine, 1919-1939" (n°Lunéville 16) and reproduced in the catalogue p. 140.
