Description
Blanche LETALLE (1901-1990) for the Saint-Clément factory (Lorraine). Reunion of a candlestick (length 28 cm), 11 knife-holders in the shape of a Scottish dog/squirrel/fish/rabbit (length approx. 10.5 cm, accidents) and an ashtray in plain glazed earthenware with gold highlights. A faience advertising label for shop windows (accidents) and a vase-bourse from the same manufacture (height 14.5 cm) are included. Circa 1950. Candlestick exhibited in 2012 at the Château de Lunéville as part of the exhibition "Faïences en lumières - les productions de Lunéville Saint-Clément". Reproduced in the catalogue p. 52. Knife rests exhibited in 2013 at the Château de Lunéville as part of the "Les arts de la table - Petites pièces au service des grandes" exhibition. Reproduced in the catalogue p. 45. Provenance: Geneviève Aubry collection (1948-2025), Rosières-aux-Salines.
