TOUL-BELLEVUE, Lorraine, Manufacture AUBRY. Very rare two-sided medallion in white terracotta representing on one side the coat of arms of Jean Samuel de Pont, Intendant of the Generalitat of Metz (1778-1790), with the legend "MORUM CONSERVATIONI ET UTILITATI PUBLICAE IOANNES DEPONT . ANNO MDCCLXXIV", and on the other a representation of a projected façade in Toul, below the terrace, the words "DIE Ia SEPT. 1784" and, in exergue, the legend "D. DEPONT SUPREMO PROVINCIAE PRAEFECTO DEDICAVERE MAGISTRATUS ETAEDILES TULLANI". Handwritten signature on the edge "Faïencerie de Toul JA". Second half of the 19th century. Diameter 12.1 cm. Good condition. Provenance: Geneviève Aubry collection (1948-2025), Rosières-aux-Salines.
