Description
TOUL-BELLEVUE, Lorraine, Manufacture AUBRY, Auguste MAJORELLE period. Large terracotta vase with Japanese lacquered decoration on a black background of pheasant, phoenix, insects and peonies, the handles in the form of lion masks. Stamped with the coat of arms of the town of Toul by Jules Aubry. 1864-1879. Approx. 47 cm in diameter and 29.5 cm high. Minor damage to the lacquer and a chip inside the neck.
