1889 MEDAL issued by the Ministry of Finance & the Administration of Coins & Medals to celebrate the CENTENARY of 1789 - Rare 2-sided model by sculptor/medallist Louis Botté ( * ) : UNITE PRECISION REGULARITY, female allegory, the coin in an antique toga, verifies the weight of a coin in front of the monetary press; to her left a naked cherub holds out a laurel branch - Reverse: view of Paris, the Sacré Coeur and the Eiffel Tower; above a palm, the words "Centenary of 1789".
Bronze with horn hallmark - 50 mm - 52.49 grams.
