FRENCH PROVINCES: PROVENCE, created in 1966 - medal sculpted and signed by Raymond DELAMARRE ( * ) - Bronze, rectangular plate 90 x 50 mm, 192 grams. A richly detailed work featuring a large number of monuments and evoking the symbolic figures of Provence - Stamped by Arthus Bertrand. ( * ) DELAMARRE : born and died in Paris 8 June 1890 - 28 February 1986. Sculptor / Medallist. Wounded in 1914 and taken prisoner in Bavaria, he returned to Paris in 1919 and won the Grand Prix de Rome in sculpture that same year. Participated in the decoration of the liner Normandie, created numerous war memorials and bas-reliefs for French monuments.
