19th century - medal of the 1st type, exceptionally large module - 57 mm - 92 grammes - horn hallmark and mention SILVER on the edge - obverse: work of Bovy*: "République Française" in circular legend. In the centre France dressed in antique style, seated frontally, holds a hand of justice and a laurel wreath, on her right a cock standing; on the base "Liberté, Egalite, Fraternité" - The reverse is by Lagrange*: circular legend with the name of the company, centre for attribution. Allegorical circular crown made up of ears of wheat, vine leaves and bunches of grapes, rooster, ram's head, ox, horse, pig and dove. - SUP, in its original wooden and velvet case.
