Stanniferous earthenware plate from the Fables de La Fontaine service produced in Saint-Clément in the years 1870-1880, with polychrome enamelled decoration of 2 umbrellas and a cat with the quotation from Jean de la Fontaine: "Au bord d'un clair ruisseau buvait une colombe" (Live II, Fable 12).
Enamelled painted signature on reverse E. Gallé Nancy.
