Charming scallop-shaped butter dish with tin-glazed earthenware lid with polychrome enamelled stylized decoration of flowers and fish, characteristic of the Japanese style much appreciated by Émile Gallé.
The milk jug in lot no. 7 is illustrated with the same small fish.
Enamelled handwritten signature on the reverse, Saint Clément, circa 1877.
