Description
* Émile GALLÉ (1846-1904). Interesting set of three tin-glazed earthenware bowls or jardinières with polychrome enamelled painted decoration: - Swan (or duck) cup with spread wings forming a handle decorated with flowers; - Fantastic or chimerical bird bowl; - A zoomorphic pocket caddy: a cockerel forming a planter and a display stand decorated with a spray of flowers. A similar model in shape, kept in the collections of the Musée d'Orsay, Paris, inv. no. OAO 1058, donated by Suzanne Daigueperce in 1984. Enamelled stamps painted or engraved on the reverse, circa 1880. D. of each piece: 10 × 17 cm; 14 × 18 cm and 18 × 29 cm. (Chipping and jumping of the enamel, wear to the gilding).
