Rare tin-glazed earthenware double-covered basket with a floral design painted in polychrome enamel with gold highlights, the handles in the form of a strap and a branch of ivy leaves in the round, tied with a Grecian knot. Signed on the reverse in red with the Majorelle Nancy stamp and the period label of the Escalier de Cristal boutique in Paris. Circa 1864-1879. D. 24 × 22 cm. (Handle damaged, missing and restored)
