* SAINT-CLÉMENT. Japanese set including : - A polychrome and gold enamelled earthenware covered pot with characters and houses painted in the Imari style. Handwritten signature on the reverse painted in red Saint-Clément and the initials MG, probably of the decorative painter who followed Émile Gallé throughout his career: Germain MAIRE. Height of pot: 11 cm. (Chips) ; - Interesting earthenware plate entirely lacquered in black and gold in the Japanese lacquer style, decorated with a dragonfly and plants. Marked on the reverse with St Clément and signature crossed out in red. Diameter of plate: 25.5 cm.
