* Émile GALLÉ (1846-1904). Extremely rare toilet or table mirror with bevelled glass. Rocaille style frame in stanniferous earthenware with blue, carmine and gilded enamelled decoration. Original adjustable foot system in varnished wood on the reverse. Enamelled painted signature on the reverse of the frame, circa 1880. Label on the reverse of the Parisian firm L. Chanut, specialising in the sale of porcelain and decorative objects, located on rue tronchet in Paris. D. 34.5 × 24.5 cm. (Small chip in the frame at the top). A rare piece.
