Bouillon and its tray in tin-glazed earthenware with polychrome enamelled floral decoration with gold highlights, bearing the words "Plus penser que dire" ("More thinking than saying").
Handwritten painted signature and enamelled stamp on reverse, circa 1890.

Tray: 19.5 × 16.5 cm.
