Description
* Eugène Farcot movement manufacturer (1830-1896). Interesting suspended clock in tin-glazed earthenware with enamelled decoration and gold highlights, thistles and the cross of Lorraine in shades of carmine, blue, green, gilt metal mount. Movement signed Eugène Farcot and numbered 2271, located at 39 rue des Trois Bornes in Paris. The delightful decoration with thistles and the Lorraine cross could be attributed to regional manufacturers such as Keller & Guérin in Lunéville or the Sarreguemines factory. D. 46 × 35 cm. I would like to thank the Cercle Guimard for allowing us to authenticate the origin of the movement in its article on boulangères clocks.
