* Émile GALLÉ (1846-1904). Pitcher known as "au bon Roy Stanislas". Baluster pitcher on speaking heel in tin-glazed earthenware with painted polychrome enamel decoration inspired by the decorations of Rouen, the Duke King Stanislas in profile in front of the gates of the Place Stan designed by Jean Lamour with the words "Le bon roy Stanislaüs Leckzinski". A rare and beautiful decoration in glorious memory of independent Lorraine in the post-1870 context and in the spirit of Charles Gallé his father, illustrating the future emblematic square of the city of Nancy (1751-1755) and of Stanislas who did so much for this city and Lorraine. Enamelled painted signature on the reverse Saint-Clément Terre de Lorraine and Gallé Nancy, circa 1875. H. 27 cm.
