* Émile GALLÉ (1846-1904). Wall letter-holder in tin-glazed earthenware in the form of an open letter, with a stylised and gilded black enamelled decoration of a throw of thistles and Lorraine crosses surrounding the other emblematic square of the city of Nancy and prefiguring the future attachment of the Duchy of Lorraine and Bar to the Kingdom of France: the Place d'Alliance in Nancy (1754-1756). Enamelled stamp painted on reverse, circa 1880. D. 16 × 27 cm. (Minor restorations to the enamel)
