Description

Handwritten signature painted on the reverse. Diameter: 26 cm. (An enamel chip at the edge) René II d'Anjou, Duke of Lorraine adopted the thistle emblem for Lorraine and added the motto: "Ne toquès mi, je poins" which became "Qu'y s'y frotte s'y pique".
