A tin-glazed earthenware jardiniere on a heel with a movement neck and painted enamelled decoration in carmine monochrome with gold highlights, of naturalistic flowers, insects and foliage framing a lively lakeside landscape with a ruined castle in the style of the landscapes by Claude Gellée known as le Lorrain.
Enamelled painted signature on reverse circa 1880.
