Description
* Émile GALLÉ (1846-1904). Cup in the shape of a pleated water lily leaf treated in trompe l'oeil. It is made of polychrome enamelled earthenware with gold highlights and a painted design of a pond in Lorraine in the style of a charcoal sketch. Enamelled signature stamp on the reverse, circa 1890. D. 7 × 37 cm. (A few small enamel chips with restorations) A magnificent naturalist piece depicting a pond in May in Lorraine.
