Description
* Émile GALLÉ (1846-1904). Fireback in the form of a panpipes (syrinx) in tin-glazed earthenware with painted polychrome enamelled decoration of reed pipes in trompe l'oeil that can be decorated with flowers and a double fife, held together by a ribbon tied in the Greek style and a lively lakescape in the style of Claude Gellée dit le Lorrain in a cartouche. Enamelled stamps on reverse, circa 1885. D. 30 × 23 cm. (Slightly broken enamel at the ends, accident and restoration). A rare piece. A bouquetière that could be matched with lot 115.
