Description
* Émile GALLÉ (1846-1904).
Cup in the form of two gondolas joined by a central plant element. It is made of tin-glazed earthenware with a polychrome painted and enamelled decoration of a late winter landscape where you can already feel the melting snow.
Enamelled initials on the reverse, circa 1890.
D. 9 × 20 × 16 cm.
(Restorations to the enamel)
A very interesting work by the artist in dialogue with the winter landscape of Lorraine and a Japanese vision capturing a seasonal moment in a fleeting atmosphere.
