An important pair of cobalt blue enamelled porcelain baluster vases with painted enamelled and gilt decoration of stilt-walkers, butterflies and stylised bamboos, mounting with foot, handles and crown in finely chased gilt bronze with double patina.
Engraved "Hommage de reconnaissance, 1840-1890" on the mounting and star mark plus "R" on the bronzes.
