The estimates indicated in the catalogue are given for information only.
Guarantees : Dimensions, weights, reproduction colours and information are provided for information purposes only.
Lots are sold in the condition in which they are found at the time of auction, with any defects or imperfections;
The absence of any indication of restoration of use, accidents, retouching or any other incident in the catalogue, on condition reports or labels or during verbal announcements in no way implies that an item is free of defects.
As the prior exhibition has enabled potential buyers to appreciate the condition of the lots offered for sale, no claims will be accepted once the sale has been announced.
For ivory lots, we inform you that these are specimens in compliance with regulation Ce 338-97 of 09/12/1996 art. 2-W prior to 01/06/1947. For an exit from the EU, an export Cites will be necessary, which will be charged to the future buyer.
As dismantling the miniatures can sometimes be tricky, they have been examined by eye.
THE AUCTIONS
Potential buyers are invited to make themselves known to Pescheteau-Badin before the sale so that their identity and bank details can be registered.
Bids will follow the order of the catalogue.
Pescheteau-Badin is free to set the order in which bids are placed and bidders are required to comply with this.
Pescheteau-Badin reserves the right to withdraw, reunite or separate lots.
The highest and last bidder will be the successful bidder.
In the event of a double bid acknowledged by Pescheteau-Badin, the item will be put back on sale and the public present will be able to bid.
SALES COSTS :
The sale is made expressly in cash.
Purchasers will pay the following costs in addition to their bids: 30% inclusive of tax (25% + 20% VAT).
For lots preceded by an asterisk*, buyers will pay, in addition to their bids, the legal fees of 14.28% (11.9% + 20% VAT).
A flat fee of 1.5% (1.8% incl. VAT) will be applied for auctions on DrouotLive.
PAYMENT
Payment of the lot will be made in cash, for the full price, costs and taxes, even if an export licence is required.
The successful bidder may pay by the following means:
- Up to €1,000 for private individuals resident in France and for French, EU or foreign traders.
- Up to €15,000 for individuals who are not French residents (the sole mention of nationality on the foreign passport is not sufficient to determine residence. A certificate of domiciliation issued by an authority in the buyer's country is required).

- by cheque: the lots will only be delivered to the buyer once the cheque has been cashed. In the event of payment by cheque or bank transfer, delivery of the items may be deferred until the cheque has been cashed.
In the event of non-payment by the successful bidder, after formal notice has been served without result, the item will be reoffered for sale at the request of the vendor on the basis of an irresponsible bid by the unsuccessful bidder; if the vendor does not make this request within one month of the auction date, the sale will be cancelled ipso jure, without prejudice to any damages and interest owed by the unsuccessful bidder.
FIGHT AGAINST MONEY LAUNDERING AND THE FINANCING OF TERRORISM
All buyers are asked to provide the auction house with a copy of an identity document and proof of address. You may be asked to provide proof of the origin of the funds used to pay the bill.
DELIVERY OF LOTS
Lots will be delivered to the buyer only after full payment of the price, costs and taxes. In the meantime, Pescheteau-Badin may invoice the buyer for the cost of depositing the lot, and possibly handling and transport costs.
STORAGE & SHIPPING
After the sale :
As soon as the item is sold, it will be the sole responsibility of the buyer.
Pescheteau-Badin declines all responsibility for any damage that the object may incur, and this as soon as the hammer is down. The export licence formality may require a delay of five weeks, which may be considerably reduced depending on the speed with which the buyer gives Pescheteau-Badin his instructions.
Storage :
At the end of the sale, the furniture, paintings and objects awarded may be collected after payment by their purchasers in the auction room until 7 pm or the following day before 10 am after this time they will be stored in the Magasinage de Drouot which is located in the 3rd basement of the Hôtel des ventes.

All storage charges in accordance with the current price list must be paid to the Hôtel Drouot warehouse before the lots are collected.
There is a charge for this service, subject to the following conditions:
- Administration fee per lot: €5 / €10 / €15 / €20 / €25, depending on the nature of the lot*.
- From the 5th day onwards, storage costs per lot, incl. VAT: €1 / €5 / €10 / €15 / €20, depending on the nature of the lot*.
There is a maximum handling fee of €50 (incl. VAT) per withdrawal. A 50% reduction on storage fees is granted to foreign customers and art market professionals in the provinces (on presentation of proof).
Please note that any lot not withdrawn within one year of its entry into the Warehousing Department will be deemed to have been abandoned and its ownership transferred to Drouot Enchère as a guarantee to cover storage costs.
In the case of the purchase of small items and with the agreement of Pescheteau-Badin, certain lots may be kept free of charge on our premises for 15 days after the sale, after which time a fee may be charged.
Shipping of lots: Pescheteau-Badin does not take care of shipping.
Before and after the sale, you can ask the carrier of your choice to draw up delivery and shipping estimates for your lots.
Drouot has established a partnership with the Packengers, which offers a worldwide packing and shipping service. The Packengers are located in the Client Area on the ground floor of the Hôtel and will make deliveries from the auction room.

Payment for transport must be made directly to the Packengers.
Purchase orders: Pescheteau-Badin will execute, free of charge, the purchase orders and telephone orders entrusted to them and cannot be held responsible if the telephone connection is not established, established late, or in the event of error or omission. If Pescheteau-Badin receives several orders for the same lot for the same amount, the oldest order will be preferred.
