General Terms and Conditions of Sale
Sales are on a cash basis and buyers shall pay, in addition to the hammer price, per lot and without any discount, the
following charges: 30 per cent including VAT. Collection of items may be deferred until payment has been received and confirmed. If
you are the successful bidder online, you authorise the auctioneer to use your credit card details
to process payment, in full or in part, for your purchases, including the buyer’s premium.
In the event of a tied bid recognised as valid by the Auctioneer, the lot will be put up for sale again, with all
bidders present being able to participate in this second auction.
CONDITION OF LOTS
All lots are sold under the guarantee of the Auctioneer and, where applicable, the expert assisting him, in accordance with
the descriptions given in the catalogue and subject to any corrections announced at the time of the lot’s presentation
and recorded in the sale minutes
As these are antique and/or second-hand items, only the most significant defects are mentioned in the
descriptions. Any information provided by SVV Pichon & Noudel-Deniau regarding the existence of restoration work or
damage affecting the lot is intended to facilitate its inspection by the prospective buyer and remains subject
to their personal judgement.
The absence of any mention of restoration or damage, and the necessarily relative nature of the description ‘Very Good
Condition’ (VGC), in no way precludes the existence of minor scratches, knocks, hairline cracks, chips and scuffs, or stains (from cloth).
In any event, the items are therefore sold ‘as is’ with their imperfections and defects, and no
cancellation of the sale will be permitted on the grounds that the condition does not conform to the description.
Prospective buyers are therefore invited to examine any lots in which they may be interested prior to the sale,
particularly during the viewings, and to check that each item corresponds to the description.
SVV PICHON & NOUDEL-DENIAU is available to assist prospective bidders by providing
reports on the condition of the lots and additional photographs.
BUY-IN ORDERS
The Auctioneers and Experts will execute, free of charge, any buy-in orders entrusted to them,
particularly from collectors unable to attend the sale. Buy-in orders must be sent
24 hours in advance to be validated, provided they are accompanied by all necessary financial guarantees.
No telephone purchase orders will be accepted for lots with a lower estimate of less than €200.
SHIPPING OF LOTS
