WATCHES – CLOCKS – JEWELLERY – SILVERWARE SFEP Expert: Mr Paul-Louis Flandrin – 06 78 18 66 13 – [email protected] NOTICE: Please note that second-hand jewellery is sold ‘as is’ and may therefore show signs of wear to varying degrees, without this necessarily being disclosed. Mr Flandrin applies the standardised designations and technical regulations in accordance with Decree 2002-65 of 14 January 2002. 1. Mr Flandrin designates stones modified by ‘traditional gem-cutting practices’ in the same way as those that have not been modified (‘Article 3’). 2. Mr Flandrin designates stones modified by other processes either by the name of the stone, followed by the word ‘treated’, or by specifying the treatment applied (‘Article 2’). Stones not accompanied by certificates or laboratory reports have been valued by Mr Flandrin, taking into account any modifications referred to in paragraph 1. With regard to watches, any restorations, modifications, technical specifications and serial numbers are disclosed to the best of our ability. The same applies to the dimensions, sizes and weights stated in the catalogue. These details are provided for information purposes only to facilitate inspection by the prospective buyer and remain subject to their personal judgement. Neither the auctioneer nor Mr Flandrin shall be held liable for any omissions that may remain despite the precautions taken. The absence of any such information does not in any way imply that a watch is free from defects. No guarantee is given as to the condition of the watches and straps. Servicing, adjustments and water resistance checks remain the responsibility of the buyer. The terms ‘gold’, ‘platinum’ and ‘silver’, when used without further specification, refer to lots made of 18K gold (750‰), 850‰ platinum and 925‰ silver; however, there may be variations in certain finenesses depending on the origin. Mr Flandrin is available to provide any information regarding Decree 2002-65 and the various types of treatments available. Identification techniques and the conclusions of analyses regarding the origin and classification of gemstones and pearls may vary from one laboratory to another. It is therefore possible, in certain cases, to obtain a different result depending on the laboratories consulted. CORAL (marked with an *) Specimen of Corallium spp (CITES Appendix IIB, pre-Convention), is not subject to French regulations (Regulation 338/97 of 9 December 1996, Article 2-W mc), as this coral is not harvested from the French coast. This specimen is therefore not subject to the prohibition regime under the French Environmental Code. This specimen may therefore be sold within the European Union as the material has been processed into jewellery. However, a CITES re-export permit will be required for export from the European Union, and the cost of this will be borne by the future purchaser.
