Terms of sale
10th Entomology Auction at the Douai Auction House Part 1 of a major collection of butterflies from South-East Asia, containing numerous rarities Expert: Mr Olivier BOILLY SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE FOR ENTOMOLOGY: The identifications given in the lot descriptions are those of the collector and are provided for information purposes only. CITES Appendices I, II and III correspond to Appendices A, B and C in the European Union (EU), which may be more restrictive. Certain species are therefore ‘NON-CITES’, meaning that they appear only on the EU lists in Appendices B, C or D. Specimens belonging to species listed in these Annexes, as indicated in the lot descriptions, are accompanied by the necessary documentation permitting their sale. They may circulate freely within the European Union subject to the presentation of proof of lawful origin. The auction slip is considered as such; it must be kept, along with the catalogue. All species listed in Annex I/A or II/A are accompanied by their Intra-Community Certificate (CIC). The few species protected within France and present in certain lots were collected well before the prohibition orders came into force and may therefore be sold. The trade in and movement of species not listed in the Appendices and not protected within France are unrestricted within the EU, without the need for proof of origin or authorisation. Important: Possession of the documents required by CITES for specimens belonging to species listed in Annex A, B or C permits their trade and transport within the EU. HOWEVER, this does not authorise their export. To export them outside the EU, an export permit must be applied for from the geographically competent CITES authority. Please note: an export permit may be refused by the EU; however, even if granted, this does not automatically imply that the corresponding import permit will be issued by the country of destination: please check in advance. All these procedures are the responsibility of the buyer.
